Revel8, a Berlin-based cybersecurity startup training employees with realistic attack simulations of the latest AI cyber threats, led by Robert Seilbeck, Tom Müller, and Julius Muth, has secured €5.7 million seed round led by Peak, with participation from Fortino Capital, Merantix Capital, and business angels including Mario Götze, Sergej Epp (CISO, Sysdig), Michael Schrank (CISO, Adidas), Rogier Fischer (Co-founder & CEO, Hadrian), and Alexander Rinke (CEO, Celonis), bringing the total funds raised to €7 million.

Generative AI has supercharged cybercrime, making fake voices, images, and messages nearly impossible to spot. In 2024 alone, vishing (voice phishing) incidents spiked by 442%. That same year, a deepfake video call in Hong Kong tricked a bank manager into wiring $25 million. Just months later, Marks & Spencer fell victim to a voice phishing attack that cost more than £300 million.

At the root of most breaches lies human error. “Traditional e-learning is obsolete,” says co-founder and CEO Julius Muth. “Training users with realistic replicas of the latest scams is far more effective. By exposing clients to continuous, real-world attacks across every communication channel, we help them build a resilient security culture and prevent costly mistakes.”

Revel8 mirrors the playbook of modern attackers. Its AI-native, deepfake-first platform can replicate emerging attack methods in hours, using open-source intelligence (OSINT) to craft hyper-personalized simulations for every employee. Think of it as a Spotify playlist of attacks, constantly adapting to each person’s role, behavior, and performance, and fortifying defenses exactly where they’re most vulnerable.

With multi-channel realism and real-time learning, Revel8 flips the script: transforming the human factor from cybersecurity’s weakest link into its most adaptive defense layer.

The company is also among the first cybersecurity providers on the Stackit marketplace from Schwarz Group, giving enterprises a sovereign European cloud option.

Founded by Julius Muth, Tom Müller, and Robert Seilbeck, Revel8 was born from a stark realization: organizations were dangerously unprepared for the age of AI-driven impersonation. Their mission is clear: forge 10 million human firewalls. Now, with fresh momentum, Revel8 is scaling its team, supercharging enterprise features, and taking its fight to the global stage.
