Quantum Bridge, unbreakable cybersecurity for the quantum era, led by Mattia Montagna, Hoi-Kwong Lo, and the team, has closed a US$8 million Series A funding round led by Primo Capital SGR and supported by a global syndicate of investors, including Wayra (Telefónica), Cadenza VC, Club degli Investitori angels, HPE, and Bacchus Venture Capital. Together with prior financing from investors, including Alumni Ventures and the University of Toronto, the round brings Quantum Bridge’s total capital raised to US$16 million.
The investment supports scale-up as financial institutions, telecom networks, governments, and defence sectors work to protect critical data from emerging quantum threats.
“Leading this round marks a key milestone for Primo Capital as it establishes its presence in quantum technology, which we see as critical to future digital resilience,” said Mara Attardi, investment professional at Primo Capital. “Quantum Bridge stood out for its architecture and team, combining deep technical expertise with strong commercial execution across global institutional markets.”
“National security can’t wait for perfect conditions,” said Mattia Montagna, co-founder and CEO of Quantum Bridge Technologies. “We build quantum-safe systems designed to protect real-world networks today and secure sovereign communications as threats evolve. This funding helps us expand protection to more organizations faster.”
Quantum Bridge Technologies addresses the quantum threat to existing cryptographic systems with its Distributed Symmetric Key Establishment (DSKE) protocol, enabling decentralized key generation and management without single points of failure.
Its platform integrates with existing infrastructure to provide quantum-safe protection across encryption and application layers, helping organizations adopt stronger cryptographic security without disrupting current operations.
