Pylon, an AI-Powered B2B customer support platform led by Advith Chelikani, Marty Kausas, and Robert Eng, has secured $31 million in Series B funding, co-led by a16z and BCV, with continued participation from General Catalyst, YC, and other existing investors, bringing the total funding to $51 million.
Since its Series A, Pylon has rapidly gained traction, now used by over 750 high-growth companies, including Together AI, Cognition, and AssemblyAI. Over 150 companies have switched from legacy platforms like Zendesk, Intercom, and Salesforce Service Cloud.
B2B support isn’t about resolving tickets, it’s about managing complex, high-value relationships. Issues often require deep product knowledge and collaboration across multiple teams, like support, customer success, and solutions engineering. Modern B2B companies operate in real-time channels like Slack and Teams, needing full account context, usage, contracts, risks, and opportunities. Legacy platforms, built for B2C, fail to meet these demands. Pylon is winning because it’s purpose-built for how B2B support truly works.
Pylon powers AI that truly works in B2B support by grounding it in a full customer context. AI Agents automate routine tasks, cutting ticket volume in half. AI Assistants boost agent speed with instant context and suggestions. Account Intelligence surfaces key signals from conversations, helping teams drive upsells, prevent churn, and understand customer needs. It’s AI built to strengthen relationships, not just automate them.
Pylon sits at the center of every customer conversation, turning support into a strategic advantage. Account Intelligence transforms chats into insights for product, success, and sales, highlighting upsell opportunities, churn risks, and customer needs. Teams can drill into individual accounts or uncover trends across the entire base. This is the first step toward a unified platform for all of B2B post-sales.
This Series B enables further expansion into AI-powered, post-sales workflows, aggressive team hiring across all functions, and a bold push to define the future of B2B support. With a unique dataset and clear product vision, Pylon is positioned to lead the shift toward integrated, intelligent, and conversational customer operations.
