Plancraft, an AI-powered platform for people in the construction industry, led by Alexander Noll, Julian Wiedenhaus, Richard Keil, Till Zimmermann, Alex Kerber, and Justin Miehle, has raised €38 million in Series B funding, led by Headline with participation from existing investors Creandum, HTGF, and xdeck, bringing the total funding to over €50 million. This funding enables the expansion from fragmented national markets to a unified pan-European platform, connecting construction professionals into an AI-powered ecosystem where knowledge, efficiency, and best practices scale rapidly across borders.
Europe’s construction sector is in crisis—facing 40% of global CO₂ emissions, a shrinking skilled workforce, and mounting climate goals. From Germany to Italy, the same issues repeat: slow training, complex regulations, and outdated tools. While office workers embraced digital transformation, construction workers were left with software that only added friction.
Plancraft is built on a simple idea: software should adapt to construction workers, not the other way around. By enabling voice-based workflows that mirror how people naturally communicate on job sites, it removes adoption barriers and reduces complexity. Even when voice isn’t possible, the system remains intuitive and aligned with real-world construction work, making advanced tools accessible without requiring users to become tech experts.
Over 20,000 tradespeople across Europe already use Plancraft to streamline their work, showing how quickly adoption follows when technology truly fits the needs of construction workers. Yet this is just the beginning, Europe has nearly 4 million construction companies, many still stuck in manual workflows and buried in paperwork. The opportunity to transform the industry with AI is massive and largely untapped.
This funding accelerates the path toward AI as an intelligent teammate—one that manages customer interactions, generates quotes from real-time material data, and optimizes workforce allocation, enabling construction professionals to focus on delivering quality craftsmanship.
As AI reshapes every industry, Europe's construction sector is poised for its biggest transformation in decades—and Plancraft is positioned to lead it. The focus now is twofold: reimagining the product to be truly voice-first and AI-powered, eliminating admin for teams in the field and the office; and accelerating European expansion with dedicated local teams in Austria, the Netherlands, and Italy to drive adoption across the continent.
