Synopsys, the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products, led by Sassine Ghazi, Shelagh Glaser, Ravi Subramanian, Shankar Krishnamoorthy, and others, announced an expanded, strategic partnership to revolutionize design and engineering across industries.

R&D teams across sectors, from semiconductors to aerospace, automotive, and industrial, face growing workflow complexity, rising development costs, and mounting time-to-market pressure. The expanded partnership combines NVIDIA’s AI and accelerated computing with Synopsys’ engineering tools to help teams design, simulate, and verify intelligent products faster, more accurately, and at lower cost. NVIDIA has also invested $2 billion in Synopsys at $414.79 per share.

“CUDA GPU-accelerated computing is transforming design, enabling simulation at unprecedented speed and scale, from atoms to systems, and creating fully functional digital twins,” said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA. “Through our partnership with Synopsys, we’re combining accelerated computing and AI to reimagine engineering and empower the creation of the extraordinary products of the future.”

“The complexity and cost of next-generation intelligent systems require engineering solutions that tightly integrate electronics, physics, and AI,” said Sassine Ghazi, president and CEO of Synopsys. “No two companies are better positioned to deliver AI-powered, holistic system design. Together, Synopsys and NVIDIA will redefine engineering and help innovators bring their ideas to life more efficiently.”

The multi-year partnership builds on the companies’ strong existing collaboration and introduces five key initiatives:

Accelerating Synopsys applications: Synopsys will use NVIDIA CUDA-X libraries and AI-Physics technologies to accelerate and optimize its compute-intensive applications, including chip design, physical verification, molecular simulation, electromagnetic analysis, optical simulation, and more.

Advancing agentic AI engineering: The companies are expanding their AI collaboration by integrating Synopsys AgentEngineer™ with the NVIDIA Agentic AI stack, including NVIDIA NIM microservices, the NVIDIA NeMo Agent Toolkit, and NVIDIA Nemotron models, to enable autonomous design capabilities across EDA, simulation, and analysis workflows.

Connecting the physical and digital worlds: Synopsys and NVIDIA will collaborate on next-generation digital twins for virtual design, testing, and validation across semiconductor, robotics, aerospace, automotive, energy, industrial, healthcare, and other sectors. These solutions will leverage NVIDIA Omniverse, NVIDIA Cosmos, and related technologies.

Cloud-ready engineering solutions: The partnership aims to make accelerated engineering accessible to teams of all sizes by providing cloud-enabled, GPU-accelerated Synopsys solutions.

Joint go-to-market initiatives: To drive broad adoption, the companies will pursue joint go-to-market efforts using Synopsys’ global network of thousands of direct sellers and channel partners. This builds on Synopsys’ large customer base and its existing agreement to license, sell, and support Omniverse technologies embedded in Synopsys simulation solutions.

This partnership is non-exclusive. Both NVIDIA and Synopsys will continue working with the wider semiconductor and EDA ecosystem, ensuring the collaboration creates shared growth opportunities across the future of engineering and design.
