Led by Jason Kim(CEO), Darren Ma(CFO), Shea Ferring(CTO), Dan Fermon(COO), Brad Warezak(CIO), & others, Space Tech Company Firefly Space has raised $50 Million from Northop Grumman in Series D to accelerate the production of their co-developed medium launch vehicle, now known as Eclipse™. The companies are advancing Eclipse flight hardware development, with qualification testing in progress and over 60 Miranda engine hot fire tests completed to date.

Eclipse combines proven Antares avionics with Firefly’s Alpha technology, offering greater power, performance, and payload capacity. Featuring a 5.4-meter fairing and shared components with Antares 330, it enables rapid, efficient production and testing. Firefly adapted its tap-off cycle engine design for Eclipse and completed a 206-second Miranda hot fire, matching the full flight duration. Key flight hardware has also been manufactured.

Eclipse fills a critical gap in the market, capable of delivering 16,300 kg to LEO and 3,200 kg to GTO. Launching from Wallops Island as early as 2026, it will support resupply missions, commercial launches, national security, and scientific payloads globally.
