MD One Ventures & Randox launch Accelerator Randox for Builders

MD One Ventures, Europe's first Defence and National Security Venture Capital, led by Will McManners, Kelvin Au, Edward Ebbern, and others, and Randox, a global diagnostics and healthcare company from the UK and Ireland, have announced the launch of Randox for Builders, a security and biotech incubator and accelerator for UK and European founders and their teams.

Alongside funding, founders gain immediate access to world-class scientific, R&D, and commercial expertise, giving teams a strong growth advantage without giving up equity. Randox for Builders focuses on strengthening national resilience by accelerating technologies critical to the future security and health of the UK and its allies, helping impactful innovations reach real-world deployment faster than traditional models.

Selected founders gain access to Randox’s global diagnostics and biotech capabilities, including advanced labs and manufacturing, clinical trials and validation, regulatory support, IP and research expertise, and established B2B and B2C routes to market, resources rarely available to early-stage startups.

MD One Ventures and Randox describe the program as a strategic partnership, not a traditional accelerator, designed to de-risk and accelerate startups tackling national security and public health challenges by providing unparalleled access to Randox’s infrastructure and expertise. Randox sees the initiative as an extension of its decades-long investment in R&D, opening its technical capabilities to help innovators scale solutions faster.

The incubator has already backed companies, including Untap Health, which automates wastewater-based diagnostics, and Airfinity, a health intelligence and bio-risk forecasting platform. Founders say the program helps bridge the “valley of death,” unlock new markets, and combine Randox’s large-scale health data with advanced analytics to accelerate drug development and strengthen health security.
