Mantis Biotech, the infrastructure powering human-in-computer models, led by Georgia Witchel, has announced $6.3 Million seed round, led by Decibel Partners, with participation from StoryHouse Ventures, Y Combinator, Pioneer Fund, Spot VC, and Fenwick.
The Problem: The challenge isn’t a lack of data; it’s messy, fragmented, and hard-to-use data. Massive volumes of biological, performance, and operational information exist, but are scattered across systems and formats, creating delays, confusion, and misplaced confidence.
Mantis unifies complex data from multiple sources into a single, interactive platform. Instead of juggling spreadsheets, reports, and charts, users can explore one centralized system to gain actionable insights. Initially focused on sports health and human performance, this approach applies to any field where decisions are critical and systems are complex.
This round came together quickly, driven by shared convictions: digital twins are becoming essential infrastructure, data-rich domains require strong foundations, and clarity, not volume, is key under uncertainty. Decibel Partners led the round, with strong support from the YC ecosystem and partners experienced in turning early insights into real-world impact.
This funding allows Mantis to:
Grow the platform – add more data sources and enhance interpretability
Scale responsibly – build a reliable ecosystem of systems
Broaden our reach – expand beyond current use cases into more operational contexts
The goal: give users the tools to turn complex data into actionable insight.
The future favors teams able to refine complex data into confident decisions. Digital twins and AI-driven simulations enable this capability.
