JotPsych, led by Nathan Peereboom(CEO) and Jackson Bierfeldt(CTO), has secured $5 million seed round led by Base10 Partners, with participation from a group of angel investors and advisors.

Launched in 2023, JotPsych set out to eliminate administrative burdens for behavioral health clinicians—starting with documentation, the most time-consuming task of the day. Its AI scribe cuts documentation time by 90%, adapting to each clinician’s language, tone, and content style, helping reclaim hours daily for patient care. By 2024, usage grew over 1300%, surpassing 1,000,000 patient encounters—marking just the beginning.

Most EHRs are passive tools that store information but offer little support. JotPsych is the first agentic EHR—understanding context, anticipating needs, and taking action on the clinician’s behalf. It automates notes, scheduling, coding, communication, billing, and patient profiling. Soon, it will enable one-tap approvals for prescriptions, care coordination, and population insights—removing administrative friction so clinicians can focus on patients.

This fundraise provides the resources to deepen clinical workflow automation, scale support for a rapidly growing user base, and strengthen the team and infrastructure. Most importantly, it brings focus—enabling continued work on what clinicians truly want and need.
