Infisical, the security infrastructure developers love, led by Vlad Matsiiako, Tony Dang, and Maidul Islam, has raised a $40M Series B at a $600M valuation. The round was led by Elad Gil, doubling down since our Series A, with Y Combinator and Gradient Ventures tripling down. Gallery Ventures, Pace Capital, Dynamic Capital, and other investors also participated.

Infisical's Growth and Financial Position.

Infisical has grown while remaining focused on solving customer problems and maintaining its operating principles. The company has been cash-flow positive for an extended period and currently holds more cash than it has raised in total, meaning the latest funding round was not necessary for financial stability.

Today, more than 1,300 organizations trust Infisical to secure their infrastructure, including LG, First American Financial, OpenRouter, Wise, and the US Government. Its core open-source project has also surpassed 30,000 GitHub stars.

Why Infisical Raised Now.

Over the past year, AI models and agents have fundamentally changed software development, creating three major security challenges:

  • More software and infrastructure: Coding agents have increased code production by more than 10x, much of it requiring further refinement. More software also means more infrastructure, machine identities, credentials, and certificates to secure.

  • A larger attack surface: The growing volume of deployed software creates more vulnerabilities for attackers to exploit. API keys, passwords, and private keys can then be used to gain deeper access to infrastructure.

  • Increasingly autonomous AI agents: AI agents are accessing sensitive systems and taking actions that previously required human approval, often without adequate oversight.

Much of today's security infrastructure was not designed for this environment. Manual workflows already struggled to keep pace with cloud-native infrastructure, and the challenge has intensified as AI agents write code, provision infrastructure, and access production systems.

Infisical's approach has centered on making security compatible with developer experience, based on the principle that difficult security processes encourage workarounds, while accessible solutions drive adoption. This philosophy has shaped its products across secrets and certificate management, privileged access, and AI agent security.

With software infrastructure evolving rapidly, Infisical raised funding to accelerate product development and expand its role in securing the next generation of software infrastructure.

Infisical's Next Phase of Growth.

Infisical aims to become the security infrastructure developers, machines and AI agents rely on to access systems securely.

The new funding will support continued investment in secrets management, certificate management and privileged access management, helping organizations transition away from legacy tools. A greater focus will also be placed on Agent Vault, which enables AI agents to access sensitive systems without exposing underlying credentials. As agents take on more responsibilities, controlling their access and permitted actions will become as important as securing credentials.

To support these ambitions, Infisical is hiring for more than 100 positions across engineering, sales, marketing, product, design, and other teams, seeking ambitious, high-agency talent to help build the next generation of security infrastructure.
