Humanoid, a UK-based AI and robotics company building industrial humanoid robots led by Artem Sokolov and the team, announced a $152 million Series A financing at a $1.35 billion post-money valuation. This funding brings the total amount raised to date to $270 million. The round was led by Prime Movers Lab with participation from Schaeffler, Bosch, Fubon Financial Holding Venture Capital, and Aglaé Ventures.
The investment marks a significant milestone for the European technology ecosystem, strengthening the region’s position in one of the world’s fastest-growing technology sectors. While much of the momentum in Physical AI has been concentrated in the United States and China, the funding highlights the UK and continental Europe’s growing ability to build and scale globally competitive humanoid robotics companies at the forefront of the industry.
The new funding will support Humanoid’s next phase of growth by advancing its technology platform and accelerating commercial deployment. The company plans to use the capital to:
Develop and launch its next-generation humanoid robotics platform.
Expand long-term commercial deployments across logistics, manufacturing, retail and other industries, beginning with the rollout of beta robots in Q4 2026.
Begin mass production of its wheel-based humanoid robots.
Advance AI and software development, including its proprietary KinetIQ AI platform, as it works toward building a general-purpose robot for industrial applications.
Humanoid has emerged as one of the fastest-growing companies in the humanoid robotics sector, establishing partnerships with Fortune 500 companies including SAP, NVIDIA, Bosch and Siemens. The company also recently signed what it describes as the industry's largest publicly announced commercial agreement with Schaeffler, paving the way for the large-scale deployment of thousands of humanoid robots across manufacturing facilities.
Artem Sokolov, Founder and CEO of Humanoid, said:
“In just two years, Humanoid has grown from an early-stage concept into Europe’s first pure-play humanoid robotics unicorn, partnering with leading industrial companies and building one of the strongest commercial pipelines in the sector. This funding will enable the company to accelerate product development, expand commercial deployments and bring humanoid robots closer to everyday industrial use.”
Investor and Partner Perspectives.
Zia Huque, General Partner at Prime Movers Lab, said humanoid robotics is expected to become one of the defining technologies of the next decade, with the industry likely to consolidate around a small number of global leaders. He believes Humanoid is well positioned to emerge as one of Europe's leading companies in the sector.
Klaus Rosenfeld, CEO of Schaeffler AG, said the company views humanoid robotics as a rapidly emerging industrial technology and is supporting Humanoid as both a strategic investor and commercial partner to help accelerate large-scale deployment across manufacturing.
Mathias Pillin, Chief Technology Officer of Robert Bosch GmbH, said Bosch sees significant opportunities in humanoid robotics and, through Robert Bosch Robotics GmbH, has entered into a manufacturing partnership with Humanoid while providing expertise in hardware design, production and supply chain operations.
Fubon Financial Holding Venture Capital said Humanoid has demonstrated strong execution by translating AI and robotics research into commercial deployments, and expressed support for the company's next phase of global expansion.
The valuation reflects both Humanoid’s rapid execution and growing investor confidence in the commercial potential of humanoid robotics. Once viewed primarily as a long-term research effort, humanoid robots are increasingly being deployed in industrial environments to address labor shortages across manufacturing, logistics, and other critical sectors.
Humanoid’s vertically integrated platform combines proprietary robotics hardware with its in-house AI system, KinetIQ, enabling robots to understand, reason, and perform complex physical tasks in real-world industrial settings. With the new funding, the company plans to accelerate the development and deployment of intelligent robots designed to operate safely alongside human workers across global industries.
