How Raindrop is Protecting the World from AI Agent Failures

Raindrop, Sentry for AI Agents, led by Zubin Koticha, Ben Hylak, and Alexis Gauba, has announced its Series A and a brand new product called Raindrop Simulations.

The company has raised a total of $50 million, led by CRV and researchers and executives at Anthropic, OpenAI, and Thinking Machines. Raindrop's goal is to protect the world from agent failures, big and small.

Over the past year, Raindrop has expanded from a startup-focused tool to an enterprise platform trusted across healthcare, logistics, and other industries.

Its focus has shifted toward unsupervised, real-time detection of issues in production AI agents, from everyday software bugs to failures with potential real-world health and safety implications.

Simulations.

Raindrop is extending its production monitoring with simulations that run on every pull request, showing how proposed AI agent changes could behave in real-world scenarios.

Unlike traditional evaluations that rely on predefined test cases, simulations replay production traffic and existing tests against proposed changes while detecting unexpected behavior. This gives AI engineers visibility into how a change may affect an agent before it reaches production.

Built to work across different agent harnesses, Raindrop Simulations are now entering broader early access, with general availability planned for the coming month.
