Naxatra Labs, bringing groundbreaking axial and radial flux motor technology to the world of electric mobility, led by Abhilash Maurya, Arnav Biswas, and Piyush Verma, has raised $3 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by Rainmatter with participation from Mohit Tandon (Delhivery), Himanshu Aggarwal (Aspiring Minds), Vijay Shekhar Sharma (Paytm), Aloke Bajpai (Ixigo), Anupam Jalote (iCEM), Narayan (Ather Energy), and others.

The proceeds will support product expansion, R&D strengthening, and scaled manufacturing, with plans to raise output to 50,000 motors per month while growing engineering and operations teams.

Founded in Ahmedabad, Naxatra Labs designs and manufactures high-efficiency electric motors for EV and industrial applications, covering electromagnetic design, validation, and end-to-end manufacturing. After more than four years of R&D, several products have moved from lab development to commercial production.

The company works with domestic customers and export markets, with motors deployed across EV traction and industrial use cases, positioning Naxatra Labs within India’s expanding energy transition and manufacturing ecosystem.
