Cambio, the AI-native commercial real estate operations platform, led by Stephanie Grayson, Leia de Guzman, and Leon Chen, has raised $18 million in Series A funding led by Maverick Ventures, with participation from Y Combinator, Adverb Ventures, Peterson Ventures and angel investors including executives from Procore, OpenAI, Anthropic, Vanta, Vercel, ServiceNow, Notion, and Amplitude. To support rapid growth, Cambio has added four senior leaders. Lizzie Leon (formerly Goldman Sachs) joins Cambio as Head of Product Innovation, Katerina Kaimakamis (formerly Oxford Properties Group and CBRE) as European Business Lead, Laura Willet (formerly BGO) as Canadian Business Lead, and Matthew Lobach (formerly Hersha Hospitality Trust, NYSE: HT) as Head of Partner Operations & Strategy.
Commercial real estate is a $20T industry that spends billions annually on manual data collection and investment analysis, with decisions still driven by spreadsheets, PDFs, and lengthy reviews. Cambio is built around agentic AI that reasons over unstructured data, performs multi-step analyses, and adapts to evolving regulations and market conditions. By processing thousands of pages of building data in minutes, Cambio enables large-scale evaluation and prioritization of retrofit investment opportunities.
In stealth, Cambio expanded to 35+ countries, opened a London office for EU, UK, and APAC growth, and secured leading commercial real estate firms as customers. The founding team brings experience from major global investment institutions and has identified inefficiencies in manual real estate portfolio management. To replace fragmented, error-prone workflows, Cambio was built at Stanford to automate property data analysis with AI.
Owners have long been constrained by unstructured building data that limits actionable insights, but large language models now enable scalable data utilization. Cambio applies agentic AI to turn compliance and capital planning into a continuously learning decision system, with an investor-focused approach that prioritizes capital allocation, asset selection, and return optimization while meeting regulatory requirements without added operational complexity.
Cambio automates real estate workflows by ingesting building data, evaluating performance, identifying retrofit opportunities, and generating capital strategies, delivering ROI insights in minutes while reframing compliance as a performance driver. Industry leaders highlight its use of AI to scale decarbonization investment analysis and prioritize high-impact actions, while investors note its strong founder-market fit, rapid growth, and early traction in transforming real estate operations.
