Furientis, manufacturing interceptor missiles engineered from day one for high-rate production, led by Brody Franzen and Aris Simsarian, has annouced $25M seed round, led by Benchmark Capital.

Designing for Production at Scale.

Furientis was founded in May 2025 around a central concern: while the U.S. produces some of the world’s most advanced defense technology, production capacity remains far below the scale required by modern threats.

The debate around cost asymmetry, such as multimillion-dollar interceptors versus inexpensive drones, often overlooks a more critical challenge: consumption rates. Advanced defensive systems can protect assets worth hundreds of millions of dollars and save hundreds of lives, but production must keep pace with battlefield demand.

Furientis was built around this production challenge, with rapid iteration and design for manufacturability at its core. Every design decision is evaluated against two targets: the ability to produce 1,000 units per factory per year and a 30-minute final assembly time per vehicle.

Accelerating Development and Production.

Since its founding, Furientis has focused on rapidly maturing its interceptor platforms through a high-frequency development and testing cycle. Seeker and control subsystems are tested on the bench, integrated into flight vehicles, and repeatedly validated on the test range. Over the past 10 months, the company has conducted 21 vehicle tests, including 13 flight tests and 8 static fires.

Alongside development, Furientis has invested in production capacity. Its first propellant manufacturing facility is now operational, enabling scalable solid rocket motor production and testing of up to dozens of motors per month.

The company has also secured a funded OTA contract with the Department of War, advanced to the finals of multiple government missile competitions, and established commercial partnerships to expand its product capabilities.

A new investment from Benchmark will support hiring, expanded in-house manufacturing and testing capabilities, and accelerated development across multiple programs. The focus remains on building interceptor systems capable of being developed and produced at significantly higher rates.
