Decade Energy, making electric the most reliable and competitive transportation choice for road transport operators, led by Casper Norden, Alexandre Cleret, Carl-Magnus Norden, and Alejandro Ortega, has raised €22 million to scale deployment across France, expand its product offering, and enter new international markets. The financing is led by Eiffel Investment Groups and SET Ventures, along with existing investors.

Powering Truck Electrification

As truck electrification accelerates, the key constraint has shifted from vehicles to power; limited grid capacity, long connection timelines, and complex on-site energy systems are slowing deployment.

Decade Energy addresses this by developing, financing, and operating integrated depot infrastructure, including grid connections, battery storage (BESS), EV charging, solar, and optimization software. Its zero-CapEx model enables logistics operators to secure power capacity while generating predictable returns and additional value through energy markets.

“This financing expands Decade Energy into a broader platform for depot electrification,” said Casper Norden, CEO and Co-Founder. “The focus is on building software, energy products, and teams to serve logistics sites at scale and expand into new European markets, turning depots into the power infrastructure electric transport requires.”

A New Model for Future-Ready Depots

Decade Energy’s distributed approach, deploying across many sites rather than centralized assets, enables scalable electrification while increasing long-term depot value.

This model defines a new category of infrastructure for electric transport: powered, flexible, and future-ready depots.

“This funding validates the strategy and execution of Decade Energy,” said Alexandre Cleret, COO and Co-Founder. “The model focuses on solving core depot needs, power access, and infrastructure, while enabling scalable electrification for growing fleets.”

Traction

Decade Energy is seeing strong demand, with over 1,500 depot electrification studies completed across Europe, 100+ projects (500MW+) in development, and a pipeline of 50 projects set to begin construction in 2026.

The financing marks Decade Energy’s transition from development to scaled deployment, supported by new investors Eiffel Investment Group and SET Ventures.

Eiffel’s €16M commitment, via Eiffel Transition Infrastructure, will fund the rollout of a 100MW+ BESS portfolio across France, strengthening depot power capacity and grid flexibility. The remaining funding, led by SET Ventures with support from Contrarian Ventures and Ananda Impact Ventures, will advance software, charging, and solar products while supporting expansion into new markets.

“Amid today’s geopolitical landscape, the need for BESS deployment and reduced fossil fuel dependence is clear,” said Julia Padberg, Partner at SET Ventures. “Decade Energy addresses a critical bottleneck, grid constraints at logistics depots, with strong execution and early traction, positioning it to accelerate Europe’s energy resilience.”

“BESS is becoming core energy infrastructure, enabling renewable integration and depot electrification,” said Laurent Coubret, Investment Director at Eiffel Investment Group. “Decade Energy’s deployment model, combined with strong market expertise, can turn fragmented demand into a scalable solution while delivering long-term value.”

Growing to European Scale

Decade Energy has established France as its initial launch market and proof point, with active deployments already underway.

With this funding, the company plans to expand across Europe, including Germany, the Nordics, and Poland, adapting its model to local markets. This comes as governments accelerate fleet electrification, increasing demand for scalable depot power infrastructure.
