Crustdata, a real-time B2B data broker, led by Abhilash Chowdhary, Manmohit Grewal, and Chris Pisarski, has secured $6 million in a seed round led by Y Combinator and A Capital, with participation from General Catalyst, SV Angel, and Phosphor Capital.

Crustdata is creating a real-time web data layer for AI agents, allowing customers to track companies, founders, and recruiting candidates before they gain traction. Its signals power top AI SDRs, recruiting platforms, and investment teams worldwide.

Garry Tan, CEO of Y Combinator, highlighted Crustdata as a standout from the Fall 2024 YC batch, noting the team’s rapid progress with B2B customers and calling it a strategic gateway to the internet for agentic applications.

Crustdata, a Fall 2024 Y Combinator graduate, scaled revenue from $770K to over $4M in seven months with zero outbound marketing and a single-person sales team, leveraging its own product to drive growth and achieve profitability quickly.

Rapid adoption underscores its impact: Y Combinator powers founder discovery with Crustdata, Dharmesh Shah’s agent.ai runs on its data, and Ryan Reynolds’ MNTN uses it to fuel a fully automated AI SDR for sales outreach.
