Founded by Product And Engineering Leaders Harry Wetherald(CEO), Adrian Jozwik(CPO), and Santiago Castineira(CTO), Cloud Security Startup Maze Announces its launch with a Series A funding round of $21 Million led by Theory Ventures. The company previously raised $6 Million in Seed funding led by Cherry Ventures and Tapestry VC.

Maze develops AI Agents for cloud vulnerabilities where the agents are given access to cloud environments and they autonomously replicate the type of in-depth investigation that might take an expert security engineer hours or days. Maze mimics the workflows of expert security engineers to eliminate false positives, surface critical vulnerabilities, and route one-click remediation tasks to the right teams.

Maze has already onboarded more than ten enterprises to the product, including two Fortune 200 clients. Out of the millions of vulnerabilities in their backlogs, the AI Agents have been able to prove that 80-90% of findings are false positives when investigated in context, and have then identified the few that are likely to cause a serious breach.
