Callie Care, an AgeTech startup building a proactive phone-first voice AI that calls seniors daily, helping them fight isolation, manage everyday needs, and stay connected to their families and care teams, led by Yury Palevich, Igor Gurovich, and Michil Androsov, has received non-dilutive funding from InterSystems Ventures and closed a $500K pre-seed round backed by angel investors.
Callie Care was built around a simple insight: aging adults need better support, but existing care systems and technology often fail to meet their needs. With nearly 29% of older adults in the US living alone, families and caregivers are left carrying a growing burden as professional care remains costly and limited.
Founded by Igor Gurovich, Yury Palevich, and Michil Androsov, Callie Care emerged from their personal experiences supporting aging family members. The company developed a phone-first AI companion that connects with older adults through daily voice calls, requiring no apps, downloads, or new technology skills.
The AI assistant helps manage everyday tasks, including transportation, groceries, medications, appointments, and wellness check-ins, while providing companionship and personalized conversations based on each person’s routines, preferences, and health context.
Unlike app-based solutions, Callie Care works through existing phone infrastructure and uses AI models to understand conversations, track wellness signals, and provide families and care organizations with insights into mood, emotional changes, and potential health concerns. The company is also developing voice-based biomarker technology to detect early signs of cognitive decline, enabling earlier intervention and preventive care.
Callie Care has shown strong early traction since launching its MVP in October 2025. More than 8,000 users have tested the service, with 85% of engaged users choosing to continue receiving regular calls. Average conversations last around 10 minutes, with seniors spending more than 730 hours interacting with the AI companion.
The platform is already generating meaningful health and wellness insights, with 44% of conversations involving discussions around health conditions, medications, or symptoms, and 28% of calls indicating emotional challenges such as sadness, anxiety, or loneliness.
Beyond its consumer offering, Callie Care is expanding into enterprise partnerships across senior care. The company has been accepted into the VA Innovation Repository, creating a potential pathway to support aging veterans across the United States.
Callie Care will use its $500K pre-seed funding to accelerate product development, expand user acquisition, build infrastructure for advanced cognitive monitoring, and establish enterprise partnerships with home care agencies and senior living providers. Strategic support from InterSystems Ventures will also help the company develop scalable, interoperable infrastructure for healthcare systems.
By the end of 2026, Callie Care aims to reach thousands of users across consumer and enterprise channels, expanding through value-based care providers, home health agencies, and insurance reimbursement pathways. The company plans to evolve its AI companion into a broader everyday assistant for older adults as demand grows in a rapidly expanding market, with the US 65+ population expected to reach 82 million by 2050 and a total addressable market exceeding $22 billion.
