Bounti, an AI-native platform for operational execution in the physical economy, led by Deniz Bay, Ziar Khosrawi, and the team, has raised €4Million led by the pan-European VC Ventech, alongside IBB Ventures, Robin Capital, and Common Magic. Business angels include Paul Forster, founder of Indeed, and Koen Bok and Jorn van Dijk, founders of Framer.
AI has yet to fully deliver on its promise, especially in white-collar use cases, where scaling remains limited, and ROI often falls short.
The bigger opportunity lies in the physical economy, where industries like hospitality, retail, and services still face labor shortages, high turnover, and rising costs. Bounti is targeting this gap, aiming to bring AI-driven efficiency to real-world, operational work.
In multi-location operations, failure rarely comes from strategy; it comes from inconsistent execution. Knowledge is lost, standards vary, and critical information often fails to reach frontline teams in time. Most enterprise software falls short here, as it’s built for office workflows, not fast-paced, on-the-ground operations.
From analytics to operational actions.
Bounti brings AI directly to frontline operations, automating core management tasks, from identifying issues and analysing root causes to triggering real actions.
Founder Deniz Bayraktaroglu describes a system that not only surfaces problems across locations but links them to revenue impact, then acts by assigning tasks, delivering targeted training, and highlighting performance gaps tied to declining sales.
AI fails without frontline adoption.
Bounti emphasizes that AI only works if frontline teams actually use it, prioritizing usability and real operational value over complex dashboards, according to founder Deniz Bayraktaroglu.
The platform is already used by brands like LAP Coffee, BackWerk, Coffee Fellows, Peter Pane, and L’Osteria, helping frontline teams onboard faster, maintain standards, and streamline communication.
“With Bounti, information reaches teams exactly where and when it’s needed, reducing friction, improving quality, and easing daily operations,” said Leander Brune of Burgermeister.
“For years, enterprise software has overlooked frontline industries like restaurants, retail, and hospitality, where execution directly drives revenue. Bounti is building a new software layer that not only delivers insights but closes the execution loop,” said Stephan Wirries of Ventech.
