Founded by Pepe Borrell(Partner) & Carlos Trenchs(Chairman), & Adviced By Albert Castells(Founder, Doctor i), Albert Nieto(Co-Founder, Seedtag), Elisenda Bou(Co-Founder & CTO, Vilynx), & Philippe Gelis(Co-Founder, Kantox), Masia Launches with a €20 million Seed Stage Angel Fund.

Masia has already taken 9 bets which include Ima, capably, Spock, Galtea, Oliva, Careeros, Zymvol, Biorce, & Fermat.

In stealth since September 2024, the fund has co-invested in nine startups with 20 global angel funds. Masia aims to deploy €20M across 60 early-stage deals in Europe. Despite two-thirds of Barcelona startups having international founders in 2024, early-stage investors still gravitate toward cities like London and Berlin. Masia looks to change that by serving as a locally rooted co-investor with deep insight into the Barcelona ecosystem.
