Artifact, the electrical system design platform built for high-complexity hardware organizations, led by Antony Samuel and Corbin Klett, who previously led and built avionics and software at leading aerospace companies, has raised $3.5 million led by Floodgate, with participation from Boost VC, Y Combinator, Rock Yard Ventures, 468 Capital, Moonfire Ventures, and others.
Artifact streamlines complex electrical system design by uniting 2D CAD, version control, and automated documentation in one collaborative platform, serving as a single source of truth from design through manufacturing.
Artifact’s Hardware IDE modernizes electrical system design with built-in component libraries, collaborative tools, design rule checks, and seamless manufacturing exports. Early adopters in aerospace, defense, and robotics are already using the platform to build next-gen hardware.
The funding will help expand Artifact’s engineering team, speed up product development, and grow its early customer base. New features will enhance software integrations and advanced design rule checks.
