ERC System Launches Victor

ERC System,  closing Europe's critical capability gap in the sky, led by Dr. David Löbl, Dr. Christopher Schropp, and Maximilian Oligschläger, has announced the launch of “Victor”, a dual-use heavy-lift cargo UAS designed for critical missions in fields such as defense, commercial logistics, and disaster response.


Unveiled publicly at the ILA Berlin 2026, Victor is designed to address a key military logistics challenge by providing a scalable, deployable solution for infrastructure-independent aerial transport.


The uncrewed aircraft is intended to carry payloads exceeding 200 kilograms, enabling autonomous delivery of supplies and equipment without relying on traditional airfields or logistics infrastructure, particularly in contested or remote environments.


Designed For Long-Range Autonomous Logistics.


Victor is an uncrewed cargo aircraft capable of carrying up to 250 kilograms of payload over distances of 300 kilometers, with a cruise speed of 250 km/h.


Its lift-and-cruise design combines vertical takeoff and landing with wing-borne forward flight, allowing it to operate from locations with minimal infrastructure while achieving greater speed, range, and cargo efficiency than conventional multicopter-based logistics drones.


Built Around Operator Requirements.


Maximilian Oligschläger said Victor was developed in response to growing demand from military and civilian operators for a heavy-lift cargo drone.


Drawing on lessons from ERC's uncrewed eVTOL program Romeo and the ongoing crewed Charlie aircraft program, the company focused on the capabilities operators consistently prioritized: high payload capacity, long range, fast cruise speeds, and operational flexibility. According to ERC, Victor brings these requirements together in a single platform designed to support a wide range of critical logistics missions.


Filling A Critical Logistics Gap.


According to ERC, military operators today lack an uncrewed platform capable of transporting substantial payloads over long distances at the speed required to support frontline units. Victor is designed to address that gap, carrying up to two pallets of cargo and supporting cargo-drop operations, reducing the need to land in contested or high-risk environments.


ERC is targeting 2028 for first deliveries, leveraging its experience developing some of the EU's largest electrified aircraft and working with industrial partners to accelerate production and deployment.


While initially aimed at defense logistics, Victor is also expected to serve commercial markets including offshore and coastal logistics, critical infrastructure support, remote industrial operations, and disaster response, where long-range, infrastructure-independent cargo transport is increasingly valuable.
